Accrual of Support in Title IV- E Foster Care Cases

- OVERVIEW
- The purpose of this policy is to provide staff and members of the public a working knowledge of the monthly accrual of unpaid support for cases referred by the Title IV-E foster care agency to DCSS.
- APPLICABILITY
- This policy applies to all Arizona IV-D program staff performing Title IV-D services.
- POLICY
- DCSS will accrue unpaid support for cases referred by the title IV-E agency and of which there is an assignment of rights to support of a child based on the following criteria.
- CRITERIA
- The child is IV-E eligible for title IV-E foster care maintenance payments, and
- The child is in IV-E placement status as determined by the title IV-E agency.
If all criteria are not met, unpaid support will not be accrued by DCSS.
- PROCEDURE
- This policy is supported by staff procedures, which identify how action related to this policy will be conducted, including responsibilities, time frames, and required actions.
